The warning light circuit

The warning light circuit Negative terminal Battery earth strap to bodywork Battery Positive terminal Starter solenoid Multi-connector plug Alternator Ignition switch Ignition warning light

A typical circuit has the warning light wired directly to a terminal at the rear of the alternator. The wire runs from the alternator through the bulkhead and up to the warning light mounted in the dashboard. From here it runs to the ignition/starter switch.
