We are hiring a web designer to take the lead on the complete redesign of How a Car Works, and other products in our portfolio.

About you

You'll be confident with HTML, CSS and Javascript, and you'll have an appreciation of clean, functional and beautiful design. Ideally you will also be creative and skilled at creating artwork, primarily in vector format.

The job

This is a full-time position. You'll be responsible for front-end design across a range of products and you'll have a lot of freedom to come up with new ideas and design products from the ground up.

Your initial brief is to redesign our guide to car mechanics, and to recreate most of the artwork in vector format (SVG) - this will probably take you the first three months. Remote work is fine - we are based in Budapest and the UK.

About us

We run and develop a range of our own websites, and aim to launch one or two new things each year - for example we are currently rolling out a guide to modern CSS standards. This is a relaxed place to work. Every Friday afternoon is yours to work on your own stuff, or just nap :)
